About Our Guest

Raney Bench is Executive Director at Mount Desert Island Historical Society. She has spent her career working in small history museums and is passionate about making history relevant for her community on MDI. She graduated with a BA in Native American Studies from Humboldt State University, and a MA in Museum Studies from the University of Nebraska. She lives in SWH with her husband, two, sons, and a variety of household pets.
